Japanese Health Insurance & Fees

Japanese public health insurance may be used for covered services when you meet the eligibility requirements. Please bring your My Number health insurance card or other valid proof of insurance. The final cost depends on the consultation, tests, prescriptions and documents provided.

If you do not have Japanese public health insurance, or if a service is not covered by insurance, self-pay charges may apply. Overseas or travel insurance policies vary. We do not guarantee direct billing to an overseas insurer, so please check your policy in advance.

Medication & Prescriptions in Japan

If you were prescribed psychiatric medication in another country, please bring the medication name, dose and any medical records you have. The same brand or medication may not be available or approved in Japan, and some medications are subject to different prescribing rules. The physician will review what can be prescribed safely and legally in Japan and whether it is appropriate for your condition.

We cannot guarantee a specific medication, dose or quantity simply because it was prescribed previously in another country. Do not stop or change psychiatric medication on your own without medical advice.

Our Services

Adult ADHD Care

Adults may seek help for difficulty concentrating, repeated mistakes at work, forgetfulness, poor time management, disorganization or impulsivity. These symptoms can also occur with depression, anxiety, sleep deprivation or severe stress. ADHD assessment therefore includes your current difficulties as well as your childhood and developmental history when relevant.

We see patients with difficulty falling asleep, waking during the night, waking too early or feeling unrefreshed after sleep. Sleep problems may be related to stress, anxiety, depression, lifestyle, medication or physical conditions. If a sleep disorder requires specialized testing, we may recommend another medical service.

TMS

TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) is a non-invasive treatment that uses magnetic stimulation applied from outside the head. It may be considered as an option for certain patients with depression or depressive symptoms. TMS is not appropriate for everyone, and a psychiatrist must assess your symptoms, treatment history and safety considerations before treatment.
